Scott Thomas Peters (born November 23, 1978) is a former American football offensive lineman in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the fourth round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arizona State University, and high school football at Amador Valley High School.
==Professional career==
Peters was drafted in 2002 by the Philadelphia Eagles (124th overall). He played for seven seasons in the NFL as an offensive guard and center, and opened an MMA gaining facility in Scottsdale AZ (The Lion's Den) as an active player for the Arizona Cardinals in May, 2008 before retiring from football in 2009. After successfully rebranding the Lion's Den to "Fight Ready" www.fight ready.com in November, 2011, Peters has since become a consultant for NFL and NCAA Football programs, implementing the "SAFE FOOTBALL" program, a series of techniques designed to maximize leverage for players who make contact at the point of attack. SAFE FOOTBALL was designed to improve performance by maximizing efficiency of the human body using principles of biomechanics and concepts derived from the martial arts. SAFE FOOTBALL is also endorsed by Neurologists as its application mitigates physical trauma to the brain by eliminating the need for helmet to helmet contact for players in the tackle box (lineman, linebackers, fullbacks, tight ends).
